12 UNSCENTED PILLAR CANDLES
THE LARGEST SELECTION OF UNSCENTED PILLARS ANYWHERE!
16 AVAILABLE COLORS - 3" x 3" size.
These pillars are made the "old fashion" way.
We bought our machines from an Italian company that makes them just as they were in the 1700's!
We make candles as they did then.
We pour hot liquid wax into our molding machines versus the "modern" way of pressing powdered wax together to form the candle. The result is a solid colored candle that is much harder and heavier than most candles. You will experience a much longer burn time. As with all of our candles, these are lead free and will burn very cleanly.
Our finish is a "rustic matte" finish. Unlike the high gloss of modern candles, ours will have a dull, 'rough' surface just like in 'olden days'. They will have some minor 'pits' and streaks on the surface. The lighter colors do not show this much, but darker colors will contrast the streaking for an interesting 'antique' look. Perfect for the "primitive" or grunge look. Scroll to bottom for picture of our finish and photo of our colors.
Burn time is approximately 10 hours per inch.
A good pillar is designed to burn out to the edge. You must burn a pillar until it does so. Then it is safe to blow out. Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4" at all times. You must adjust the wick by moving it towards the sidewall that is thickest. Do not let the melt pool get too close to the edge or the wax will break through the side and drip. Blow the candle out if the pool gets too close. Always put a plate under a pillar to catch any drips or spills. If the candle does break through, you can correct it by burning the candle and blowing it out before the melt pool reaches the break. Continue to burn this way until the melt pool is well below the break. You may then resume normal burning.
